The congress will include insight into retinal research in areas such as genes and gene therapy, cell therapy and regenerative medicine, retinal implant technology, novel drug therapy and epidemiology. It will examine critical issues associated with expediting the development, accessibility and availability of treatments for retinal disorders Its aim is to create the best educational environment possible and 2018's key contributors include the most acclaimed experts in biomedical research, clinical practice, rehabilitation best practice in blindness and world leaders in effective peer support methodologies and treatment advocacy.
This five day event gives delegates the chance socialise and relax too, with the aim of bringing together people with a retinal disorder and their families, as well as ophthalmologists, optometrists, scientists and rehabilitation professionals.
